The first time was in 2019, when Duck Hodges’ Steelers beat Kyler Murray’s Cardinals
WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS WITH A TERRIBLE COACH?
Totally forgot Duck Hodges was a thing and as soon as I close this tab I’ll go right back to that.
Duck Hodges in the 241/2th century
Would you rather right 100 Duck-sized Hodges or 1 Hodge-sized Duck?
Reminder that Duck Hodges is married to Lainey Wilson
Imagine being beaten by a fictional crime fighting duck or whoever that is
Duckman, Duck Dodgers, Howard the Duck.
ROFL
Duck got himself a handful.
And his gf’s butt isn’t too shabby either
A distant ayyo from Ed McMahon echoes in the distance
Bryce setting short kings back
The ghost of Adam theilen and an average TE being your best weapons doesn’t really help
I mean, Adam has been crushing it most of the year. He still had 6 catches.
His best week came with Andy Dalton at QB against the Seahawks, so take that as you will.
He’s not even short, he’s like 5’10.
Put another way, no QB #1 pick over 5’9 has ever lost to an undrafted rookie QB
I thought the bears beat the Panthers. Weird
Shocked this isn’t Romo
Romo so elite he beat a #1 pick on his own team.
Room didn’t throw a pass his first two seasons.
Tyson Bagent played at Shepherd University and lost to Colorado School of Mines 44-13 in his last college game. But Bryce Young lol
That game was the D2 football national semifinals last season.
People keep using this as some weird flex, without realizing School of Mines is a good program. It just has a funny name.
Bagent is a bad QB because of what he has(n’t) done in the NFL, not because of Mines
Actually, I think those last 5 college football games Bagent played that they showed during the Amazon Prime Video broadcast were 1) the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship game (which Shepherd lost to IUP, aka Indiana University of Pennsylvania) and 4) four D2 playoff games (first round, Super Regional 1 semifinals, Super Regional 1 championship/national quarterfinals, and national semifinals).
NOTE: I follow D2 football, especially the PSAC (root for 3 different teams, one of which is IUP, my graduate school alma mater), and Shepherd is the second-closest D2 team to where I currently live. I’ve actually gone to a couple of Shepherd home games (in 2019 & 2021) when they hosted one of those teams I follow. Shepherd has been a strong D2 football program for most of the last 30 years.
When the Steelers won a few games with that regen I knew they’d never be worse than average
If I had a nickel for every time an undrafted rookie QB defeated the rookie QB that was the top overall pick, I’d have two nickels - which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
You could play 2 games of Pacman
I imagine undrafted rookie QBs are almost never starting. Like how many total games have their been with this sort of matchup?
They’re 2-0 according to this article
I’m guessing Romo replacing Bledsoe doesn’t count?
Well, how often do undrafted rookies even get a chance to start, let alone in the same year a QB is drafted first overall.
The Panthers should just cut their losses and draft Caleb Williams. Wait…
