I’m not saying it wasn’t dirty. It very well could have been some evil decision. We will never know.
But if you look at where the ball is moments before CP3 gets to it, you see that Mike Conley is right there too, in a straight line race to grab the ball. Paul gets to the ball first, and turns his body to protect the ball.
It’s a pretty instinctual thing to get the ball away from the other team’s players when you’re chasing down a loose ball. He’s credited for being one of the smartest players in the nba, so why can’t we believe that he turned his body to protect the possession, and instead devise these little theories that he’s trying to end Mike Conley’s career?

Should be a no call after Paul get possession. You can dive and gain possession but Conley doesn’t challenge for the ball, he’s just impacted because Paul dives to get possession.
The nephews and grandsons just hate on Paul for good reason and get blinded by a hustle play that shouldn’t have been also a foul. Open play and there’s impact, doesn’t mean it should be a foul also.
He literally lunges to the left to take Conley out.
His leg fully extends, while his foot is planted on the floor, after he already has control of the ball.
If you really wanna suck Chris’s dick, you can say he wanted to box out Conley to avoid the jump ball, but whatever the fuck you just said is dumb as hell.
