He can’t be putting up only 11 shots in a game. He needs to average damn near 20 shots. Pelicans have to feed Zion the ball more, not let Hawkins chuck up 13 shots
Have you watched him play recently? Every time he gets the ball he drives into 4 defenders and dribbles off his knee. It’s not all his fault: the Pels have negative spacing right now with all the injuries and BI has regressed into his ball stopping ways from 2-3 years ago. But Zion has to be better, Point Zion just hasn’t happened this year, maybe some of that is scheme but he’s been very tunnel visioned so far and only looking to get his. If he focused on doing anything other than driving to the hoop things might open up for him more.
I’ve watched a couple pels games this year. I really want Zion succeed. But the issue is, he is playing his best. There’s a lot of holes in his game, and the defenses know them. He’s totally out of control out there. It’s hard to watch.
We’re rooting for you, young fella. But you should take any advice anyone on the team has to give. It’s not looking good.
