After his 16-point, 5-of-16-shooting, 8-turnover performance Tuesday, Doncic said the colors on the Pelicans’ court was only part of more concerning problems.

“I mean, outside all of the colors the court today was really bad,” he said. “It was really slippery. And then some places the ball didn’t really bounce. So you know, if we’re going to have these courts we’re going to make sure that it’s a stable court, so you can play on it. Like in Dallas, you know? It wasn’t stable, so we had to change it.”

When it was pointed out that he went down at least twice during the game’s first six minutes, Doncic said: “It was a little slippery. Especially the paint area was slippery.”

    When the Cavs played the Pacers in Indy to kick off the tournament, their court was a super bright blue that was really tough on the eyes on TV. The color was one thing, but what was more concerning was seeing how often players from both teams kept slipping on the court. It was obvious the court wasn’t quite NBA quality, but a little more concerning to see the issue is happening on other tournament courts.
