    I maintain that if the Celtics didn’t add Holiday, resulting in White having a larger role offensively both as a passer an as a scorer, that he’d be putting up All-Star numbers this season.

    White was our best player for about 1-2 seasons. So now that he gets to be the 3/4 banana without the double teams and defenses focused on him… that’s easy money for him.

      He might be the best “take what the defense gives you” player I’ve ever seen on the Cs, which is why this role is ideal for him.

      Defense playing back and not helping on drives? Go to the rim with 17 seconds on the shot clock and get an easy 2.

      Defense playing press and switching well? Tight dribbles, crisp passes, don’t stop moving, break them down slowly.

      Obviously his defense is elite, but he’s just such a good decision maker on offense it’s wild. It looks so smooth when he’s out there.
