This has been an “issue” for a long time, but ever since every player became a millionaire, wins and losses haven’t mattered as much to me. Oh, the Lakers are losing to the Kings tonight. So what? Every player is set for life. The 60s-90s were more interesting because players were fighting for survival. Yes, they’ve been making tons of money, but I now it’s so overblown. Yes, players are still fighting for contracts and playing time, but it’s not the same.
I wish there were non-guaranteed contracts or more incentive-based deals. In-season tournament? What’s the appeal? Why would someone who makes $5 million per year care much about winning the tournament? Bragging rights? Additional money? Meh.
Wackiest take I’ve ever seen.
Womp womp. Did you just find out how corrupt things are in america ?
Millions of people want to watch them play a sport. They deserve to get paid
weirdo
The NBA should be more like bum fights I agree
Bring back the plumbers and milkmen
What an odd complaint.
You don’t even have to go back to the 60s. As recently as 2004, the Minnesota Timberwolves offered Latrell Sprewell a contract that couldn’t even feed his family.
Agreed. Players should be literally fighting for their lives gladiator style or it’s not worth my time to watch it
This weird obsession with NBA fans and complaining about players making money is so strange to me.
College players aren’t rich and it’s boring as fuck
Yeah man, the owners should just keep all that revenue for themselves. They’re the ones who really need it.
Why do I care how much anyone makes? They are all equal between the lines
Yeah man I’d much rather see that money stay in the pockets of the billionaire owners!!
What the hell does another dude’s salary matter to you?
If those dudes’ paychecks bother you, go check out some games at the park.
Unfortunately the guys at the park might make more money than you too.
In that case I dunno what to tell you 😂
