Why is Kirk’s number 1 takeaway from this chart “Here Comes Miami” ?

Isn’t it more notable that they are barely above league average efficiency when they’ve won 7 straight?

Doesn’t that insinuate that it’s more likely they’ve eeked out some wins instead of dominated teams?

There are a few teams in the league where when they’re involved in a game you can throw out the other teams net rating for the year. The heat are one. It’s extremely rare they don’t linger into the 4th quarter of losses and it’s extremely rare that they blow anyone out in wins. But their games tend to be muddy

I like the Pacers all offense game plan such a fun team to watch, also Spurs make my eyes bleed even with Wembayana on the floor.

#5 Net and #13 Offense might be even better if it weren’t for Randle’s acts of basketball terrorism to start the season, 4 fucking back to backs out of 12 games, Brunson not being able to make anything from 2 despite slinging it from 3 and the line, and RJ having his best start to a season only to miss time for migraines and knee soreness. Of course every team has their excuses, just hoping ours start to clear up as the season goes on.

People haven’t watched a lot of our games yet, but Mitchell Robinson absolutely deserves an All Defense team if he keeps it up this year. All the metrics point to him and Gobert as the two most impactful centers defensively. When you throw in defense and offense of course guys like Bam are better, but Mitch’s offensive rebounding has been insane so far. For his minutes and games played there’s no one better, Gobert is a full 2 ORebounds a game behind him.

Hawks having a top 5 offense and mediocre (but not putrid) defense despite Trae’s extremely lethargic start is a testament to the Synderverse difference.

I know we are a bad team as painted by this chart. I go into watching Spurs game expecting a loss, but damn if it’s not still frustrating to see just HOW bad we are. That last game against the Thunder was some of the worst professional basketball I have ever seen. I just want to see some potential. Not 24 turnovers. We were so bad TNT TRIED to kick us off of national television until they were likely forced to put us back on.

There’s also the issue of whether Pop is above criticism.

Pop said they need to learn how to win.

They cannot win with these Point Sochan lineups. Full stop.

Either try to start winning and play a reasonable lineup or admit to tanking again.
