He’s averaging 20.5/5.2/3.7 on 56% TS this season. Solid numbers but not what we have come to expect from him. Instead of playing like the superstar he once was, he’s playing like a glorified Khris Middleton.

He’s 32 which is right around the point where a lot of stars fall off anyway. Did his latest injury in the playoffs end his prime?

10 game sample size with those stats and he’s washed? No. Over the hill, I think so, not washed quite yet.

He’s sharing the “load” with Harden, Paul George and Westbrook of course his numbers are going to be lower.

I don’t think you can call someone washed that got destroyed by injuries

Hard to say. He’s spent a big portion of his career “resting”. Had some great playoff runs so if we’re comparing these stats to those moments of greatness, then maybe.

I thought so for a little bit last year when he came back then he went berserk for the 2 healthy games he had in the playoffs.

I don’t think Kawhi will be washed for a few more years, his body just keeps failing him.

32, tons of injuries… I guess he’s still good but will never be old Kawhi. Can show some glimpses, though. For some stretches people are gonna say old Kawhi is back, but it is not gonna be consistent, like for a season or a chip run.

Also the lack of intensity and continuous high level play will make him decrease a lil bit. It’s not that he forgot, but he will be less practiced.

He was never the same after your boy closed in on his landing space in that first game of the series where he was absolutely torching you guys. So sad that happened.

y’all do this every season i swear

he’s a notoriously slow starter and then come December all the way through the playoffs when he’s averaging 30/8/4 on 68% true shooting everyone is suddenly shocked

Given the nature of his injury, he’s probably nearly there. Maybe a few old flashes left but I can’t see him going off again like he did a few years ago for us.

Not according to all the rankings, for some reason, he is still ranked top 10 over a bunch of other stars who have actually played regularly over the last few years. He is riding on reputation.

I think his style of play requires a lot of effort and exertion and in the regular season he won’t have it anymore. But in the layoffs I think he can still be dominant. Kind of like Jimmy butler
