I want to buy ticket to a game for my husband for Christmas. He is a fan of Miami Heat, but it’s not possible to go to Miami atm. So, I was hoping I could find a game in the northeast that is playing and hopefully it won’t disappoint him too much.

The concern I have is that I don’t know how the game works and I’m worried that if I buy tickets for a game in January, the teams might not make it to that game and it will get refunded.

Would it be dumb of me to buy tickets 2 months in advance? Also, would you as a nba fan still want to watch a game if it wasn’t your team playing?

Nba games very rarely get cancelled. So rare that’s it not even worth considering. You can honestly but tickets day off like a couple of hours before to see if the resellers lower the prices, but sometimes they just hide behind fees. I would assume a fan of basketball would join Enjoy an NBA game regardless of the teams. But basketball snobs do exist that might preach about playing the right way.
