This is the quietest kid on the floor every night he’s out there. That’s how you know this is a bad call

Also because it’s and a travel and the most obvious standing position of all time.

Dude was basically in position when Embiid got the ball

Embiid never beating the foul merchant allegations. dude could do anything he wants out there and yet he resorts to this for multiple possessions in a game

we need to execute the most egregious nba ref once per season to keep them honest because the absolute tomfoolery happening with calls recently is absurd. The refs then get butthurt getting called out and tech and eject the stars. No one is here to watch the refs play

Philly is so hateable. Embiid is such a flopper, and now Maxey, who I fucking loved, is getting the most bullshit superstar calls already. Every time either one of those dudes takes a shot working 10 ft of the basket they are flailing and gyrating like Elaine dancing or a cheap stripper. One or the other I don’t fucking care.

Media constantly saying players run the league but players getting calls for nothing and ejection for barely any emotion, I seem to believe the NBA controls the players through terrible referees. NBAPA can’t do anything about this.

What takes this sequence of officiating from being bad to downright absurd, is that the ref is directly responsible for letting play continue while Hunter is on the ground, because he doesn’t make a call either way. Thus meaning he has to take that into account if there’s any contact involving the player on the floor, which naturally will happen with that many bodies around Hunter, and officiate what happens with an appropriate amount of reason. And yet he completely ignores his responsibility in that and calls Hunter for a foul for incidental contact. It truly is unfathomable how he believed the first contact between them didn’t warrant a whistle, but the contact on the second action, which is miniscule in comparison, did.

To show a complete lack of basketball sense like this is inexcusable. Referees at this level should not be getting it wrong like this.

Next time Embiid pulls out an insane statline, I will remember this example when the “why do you guys hate on him?” comments come.
