For the Pelicans, I’ll say Jordan Hawkins is a difference maker. Tonight even tonight he didn’t take many shots, Denver played him very tight which opened the court up.
He’s really only had one off night shooting and had two games where he’s hit at very high volume
People have been talking about how you need shooting around BI and Zion. Hawkins is looking like an impact option. Add Trey and CJ, and things could get spicy.
In other words, PS;LF
If nothing else, our defense should be consistently solid. That will keep us in games and make us competitive, which is all I can ask for after the past few seasons.
A longer term matter will be, if this team performs decently enough to be in play-in-/playoff contention, if we keep all the young talent to continue developing, or if we start moving people around to try and start winning now.
