I mean this is probably a bias or overreaction on my part, but I’m not a big fan of how aggressively the reporter is trying to get his attention.

I’d be irked if someone was tryna grab me like that.

Honestly, given the way the media in our city operates I can’t blame him one bit. I’ve had my issues with Zach, but when the Bulls want to get rid of the team’s best player, JR’s team will passively spread rumors about him to the press. It happened with Rose, it happened with Butler, and it’s happening again with Lavine. I’m not sure if we have the worst ownership in the league, but next to Dolan, not sure whether I can think of a more toxic owner than Reinsdorf.

NGL, Dolan has washed his hands and now the Knicks are a good homegrown team on team friendly contracts. So I guess Leon was very strict about who ran Basketball Ops before taking the job. He also let Phil Jackson fuck over the team too lol . So he turned a nice little leaf the last decade.

He knew they were going to ask him about the trade rumors. He gave them the middle finger and gave the media another material aside from the trade rumors.

Is this actually it? I’ve been wondering why this is turning into a thing. The video doesn’t look that bad for somebody outside the loop.

I’ve got no problems with Lavine all, but this is sorta the definition of unprofessional. Part of being a professional athlete is media availability, even when you don’t want to.

Also, what’s up with these bucks fans hating on Lavine? How did he hurt them lol

A player requests a trade and it suddenly becomes open season on them. It’s absurd. This month has basically been the first time I’ve heard people talking about LaVine’s character as a person (positively or negatively) in a long time. Seems silly to think he’s become a cancer in the locker room when I haven’t seen any reports suggesting that.

100% it happens every time in Chicago especially. Up until recently he’s been the epitome of a hard worker and great teammate, but now suddenly he’s an asshole and shitty person

Chicago media sucks. It’s bunch of people who weren’t good enough for New York.

Like Chicago is it’s own city the media shouldn’t be just a copy of NYC

Don’t understand how a franchise that had the GOAT and is a huge market is such a shit show of a franchise now. Is there no scandals with the reinsdorfs for someone to leak? Bulls fans deserve way better

KG put it best, I believe:

“I saw how Jerry (Reinsdorf), how they did Mike, you know, keeping it 100. And all players keep that in the back of their minds. If you treat the greatest like this … the greatest didn’t even have a chance to come back and have ownership. What he invested to build the Bulls, he didn’t even get a chance to come back and reap the benefits of that, so … players see that and remember that or put that in the back of their minds. At least I did.”

Basically no one wants to play for a franchise that forced the GOAT to retire, underpaid his Robin for years, traded their hometown MVP for nothing, and refused to pay Jimmy Butler.
