I shouldnt base my opinions on few games that I have watched on jalen green. But bro does he not surprise to disappoint me. He has great skills, speed and athleticism. He could really bud into such a great player for the rockets. The development seems so mid at times. Rockets with sengun, green, jabari seems promising for the future but the person iam doubting the most is jalen green. I really want to get some inputs and know your thoughts. Is he really good? Has he got a high ceiling. To me he can clearly become a really good player if he wants to.

This is really like year one of actually being coached and held accountable and being treated like an adult and employee etc.

Rockets need to get something for him while he still has some value. He’s going to demand a max contract, which would be catastrophic. If the Rockets go the RFA route, there will be some dumb team that will offer him a max contract that the Rockets will either be forced to match or lose him for nothing

He’s improved in other parts of his game (passing, rebounding, defense) but the overall efficiency is concerning. Thankfully we have Sengun but yeah, JG is not looking good.

He is the poster boy for how broken basketball development has become in the US. It looks even worse when he is paired when Sengun, who was developed in the superior Euro league system.

The US needs to start teaching players how to play the right way. Talent won’t keep them at the top forever.
