He’s not even a pure striker like some others on this list. Messi scoring that many as a winger for most of his career is insane.

300 goals is mind boggling he is truly a historical player already. The only thing left to see from him is that successful transition in his game when he inevitably loses that edge of explosive pace he has. If he finds a way to still be equally as effective through the years he really has the potential to join that elusive table those two sit at. Long way to go for that though.

I’m surprised Messi was #2. His first few seasons he was not a big goal scorer, it took him until year 4 before he started really banging them in.

Playing at Barcelona > playing at PSG. Don’t really care for the [reasons].

Spent all of his career so far in a 2 bob league, if he wants to be truly considered anything close to goat he needs to push himself beyond playing against Brest.

Wow… Mbappe is almost 25 now. There was a time when it felt like he was 19 for a long time.

Surprised that Zlatan was 31 when he hit 300 goals.

Now show which leagues they played in. Reaching 300 goals in the Premiere League or Laliga at 27 is always gonna be more impressive than doing it at 24 in the French league.
