The 6-foot-8 Sochan was drafted as a forward but has been playing the point this season, which has been an adjustment for everyone -- including Victor Wembanyama.
As much as I want Sochan to succeed, he’s horrible as a pg, and only decreases his value, he’s very good, but limited as a pg.
I think it could be good as a growth and long term understanding of the position, but I don’t think he has that IQ needed on the offensive side as a pg, certainly doesn’t have the ball handling skills to be successful.
He could be 6th man of the year, in his true position, but he would have to come off the bench, unless Wemby can eventually hold down the 5, which probably won’t happen
