I was recently looking at watches and saw Glycine watches. I’ve never heard of them (not really familiar with watch brands) and was wondering what people’s opinions are and what models are best.

    I have a 36mm gilt dial.

I got it for the Bond vibes and I love it.

I think it is very, very good value for money compared to other watches in the price category. The movement has been holding to tighter specs that issued for the year or so that ive had it. One of my more accurate watches. It’ll hold zero over the week if I take it off for sleeping most nights.

The dial gives surprisingly precise readings given the 36 size I have. Works great under water but the seconds hand is a little blurry. I’m sure the 39, and 42 sizes would have better under water visibility on the seconds hand. But its a great skin diver.

With 18mm lug width, it is a strap monster. I tend to rock sailcloth and parachutes more than the OEM bracelet. But the bracelet is perfectly serviceable, but the 36 does use a butterfly with no half links or micro adjust. The only counter to that is, being a 36 and lighter, if it wears a little loose, I don’t mind because of the size and style. I use the textiles for tight fits. Also, it takes in a whole new character with a $10 straight link jubilee style from amazon.

The lume isn’t going to give you sun burn, but its is very much no slouch. Its enough to get me to the minute around the apartment and a champ in the tent went camping. Under starlight, you can just read the dial as normal with the finishing of the hands and indices. It’s usually his under my sleeve due to size and I can always make out the time with relative ease, so I’m not “cheating” by giving it a flash light charge.
