Making this post because Jimmy Butler is going to be fined this week by the NBA. He is wearing an Alo headband (yoga brand that sponsors him, also this is the first time) tonight against the Bulls, not a Nike headband.
The NBA will fine him and/or clarify the rules surrounding accessories.
Interesting marketing/sponsorship tidbit, we’ll see how it develops.
If they fine him the brand will probably get much more attention anyway, and be happy to cover the cost. Nothing like NBA drama as free advertising.
