Because the Lions were actually starting to look like a competent franchise. Can’t let that happen.
Oops
Still a bad pick. Imagine them with some secondary help, or Zay Flowers
Who knows? They might even be 8-2.
I think its gone from a terrible pick, to a bad pick
I mean they have the same W/L right now if Monty just plays all the snaps to be fair. Monty has been ridiculous. Gibbs is great, but he’s not winning them games lol. I think they would have been much better off with a different position there
He’s not the biggest game changer on the field but it sounds like you haven’t watched all the Lions games. I have and he’s definitely an impact player for us.
God damn people have short term memories. Gibbs is really good right now, nobody has ever argued Gibbs’ talent.
But in several years, when history repeats itself and Gibbs starts to slow down and get outperformed by a late round/UDFA, everyone will once again understand why you don’t spend such a high value pick on a RB.
This sub is so dumb
Because people read mocks by clickbait media outlets people overreact to narratives.
Oh boy here we go. Someone has a few good games in one season and suddenly anyone who criticized it is an idiot. Hes talented obviously, I still think drafting a running back that early is stupid. Going to take a lot more than what he’s done so far to change my mind.
It’s still a horrible pick. Montgomery is the lead back there and balling out - showing exactly why you don’t take a high pick RB.
Gibbs is earning $4m a year more than Montgomery and cost a 1st round pick as opposed to nothing.
