Get suspended for fighting… players fighting refs is a different beast because there is a certain level of respect that must be given to officials otherwise the game deteriorates real fast. If refs are afraid of getting punched by a player how do you think that’ll impact how they call games? It would be way worse than it is now.

You’re right they shouldn’t be afraid of getting punched, but when people get fined for even complaining bout refs… that’s bs. Refs absolutely need to be held accountable and respect needs to go both ways. That’s what’s gonna cause shit to boil over. If the refs go unchecked thru all this, things will boil over. Of course suspensions will be there, but commissioner needs to step in and get the refs right before it gets there.
