Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn’t call any other official more than 13 times.

Donaghy’s calls to Foster took place immediately before and after games Donaghy was officiating 54 times.

The records also showed Donaghy making several calls to Foster on the days of games, generally for no more than two minutes.

The report also said that when Donaghy called Foster, he mostly used the phone that he dedicated to gambling-related phone calls, and the phone calls stopped abruptly when Donaghy said he stopped gambling.

At this point the feds are just waiting for a Donald Sterling type recording to bring him in. While all of that looks 99% sus in anyone’s book. It’s still unfortunately missing that 1% to make things concrete to really put him away.

Dude, that’s pretty shady. I mean, who the hell makes 134 phone calls to one guy? And all about gambling too? That’s just asking for trouble. NBA needs some better refs for sure.

Honestly they probably used Donaghy as the fall guy and let the others involved with him get out unscathed to try to keep any form of integrity in the game, kinda like saying “Oh it was just one bad apple, everything is fine!”. The issue is that by doing that, they were never able to get rid of the other refs that probably did shady shit, due to fear of them going out publicly saying that the NBA let them keep their jobs in the past despite knowing that they were doing shady stuff.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait for people like Scott Foster to retire for him to be out of the game at this point.

David Stern was a greasy business man who knew how to do business. The FBI never should have told him

the two other big elephants in the room related to Stern:

        • the “frozen envelope” theory around the Knicks drafting Ewing
        • MJ’s “retirement” to play baseball, at the peak of his career - 100% NOT in any way related to a suspension for gambling

I never really buy that MJ “suspension” conspiracy theory. The guy’s father was murdered, it lines up he’d make a change like that.

but WHY was his father murdered? 🤔

a lot of allegations that it was a hit on MJs family due to unpaid gambling debts that MJ had acquired with some bad people.

I feel like that’s more believable than the suspension stuff, but you know they caught the people responsible for it? They don’t seem like mob guys who were ordered to take the fall or set-up. Both men admit to stealing MJ’s dad’s car and robbing it, they just have different versions of who shot him.

He committed felony obstruction of justice and any normal person wouldve gotten 3-5 years in federal prison for it.

No shot he wasn’t going to find out one way or another. Conducting an investigation isn’t really a covert op.

People always bring this up. And Scott Foster is a douche. But it may have been extremely odd for Donaghy to have had these conversations with a specific referee. But Foster was having these conversations with all the referees.

He got Adam Silver’s dick pics on his computer, ready to be sent the moment he’s fired.

What if Scott Foster mysteriously gets killed, you say? A dead man’s switch is already set up to send an email to TMZ or some shit.

Don’t forget that in a yearly anonymous players’ poll he’s been named as the worst ref in the league every year since 2016.

“One of the greatest refs in NBA history”

I wonder if the refs are like the police. There’s the cops that are bad and others that allow them to be bad and not speak out in order to stay a ref.

Love how everyone is mad at Scott Foster now when CP switches to the Warriors, but when he’s on the Suns they just treat him like a constant for their betting line and laugh at that ridiculous CP playoff losing record with Foster officiated games

Yeah, even you know CP3 is a ‘good guy’ now. That shouldn’t have happened. Draymond is supposed to take all the heat off our guys, that suspension tore a fragment in the NBA universe and things aren’t right. He’s suppoosed to be exempt from those.

Sports gambling has always and will always be an issue for sports. There needs to be some sort of independent board or something over-seeing all the leagues or the fixing questions won’t go away. It’s gonna happen to at least one if not all three football games today. Supposedly there is a rumor that the famous Ali poster where he knocked out that dude, he actually missed him and the dude took a dive and Ali was yelling at him to get back up (just a legend but who knows).
