It already is a weapon. He’s shooting 44% on mid range this year. Not necessarily “efficient”, but it’s good enough to keep teams on their toes. It’s a nice weapon to add to his 3pt shooting and insane skill in the paint.

because this isn’t MJ’s era anymore. The 3pt shot is much more valuable than the 2pt shot. Sadly.
He hasn’t been great at hitting the midrange historically. He’s working on it though and could be a real weapon for him over time.
