Big fan of Christopher Nolan and his films. Watches are present in his biggest films but i always wonder what watches he personally owns. Can people name them? I was watching him do an interview and took a snapshot. Can anyone name his watch by the photo?
Memovox right?
I highly doubt it. I’ve never seen a memovox with those style of “pocket watch” lugs (kind of what bovet use)
Definitely not
It’s a swatch 🧐
Isn’t he a massive Hamilton fan?
He has partnered with Hamilton for his movies a lot (Interstellar, Tenet, Oppenheimer), but idk if that translates to him regularly wearing one himself.
Occurs to me that he could be wearing a replica of, or a vintage model, of the watch that Oppenheimer wore, as this is an interview for the movie.
Alternatively, possible that it’s a bespoke watch. He’s got the money for it.
Watch “It only on Imax”.
Maybe some Chopard or Van Cleef. I’ve seen some older watches with that kind of lug style.
It looks like a vintage pocket watch that was made into a wristwatch.
rj/ The dick sucking kind
I think this is a watch if you know you know - because it has that unusual attachment pattern for the lugs. But not the central pattern like the Cartier and some of the Bulgari ones do, it attaches to the case at that narrow point then spreads to provide a full lug attach for a conventional band. Most watches don’t have that narrowing and spacing between the case of the watch and the band attachment, they’re more integrated with each other.
That said, *I* don’t know what it is - I just recognize it as a quite unusual design configuration.
Why write this paragraph at all
Judging from the swivel lugs, it’s definitely a vintage watch. Similar to this kind of Longines
No link?
Reminds me of a Bovet
Looks like an IWC Da Vinci to me.
I can’t seem to find that model with the same markings on the dial. Do you have a reference pic you can share because I’d love to see the details in his watch.
It’s reminiscent of one, and could be, but the part where the lugs meets the watch seems too narrow for the ones I’ve seen, and the watch face seems rather simple in by comparison, no seconds subdial or perpetual calendar.
Looks like an old iwc, zenith or Longines with an open heart.
