In Tyrese Haliburton’s 4 seasons in the NBA so far, he has NEVER shot below 40% from 3.

2020-21 - 40.9% 3PT on 5 attempts per game

2021-22 - 41.4% 3PT on 5 attempts per game

2022-23 - 40% 3PT on 7 attempts per game

2023-24 (As of 11/23/23) - 46.2% 3PT on 8 attempts per game

To give an even better picture of how well he’s shooting this season so far, he’s shooting 42.4% off of pull-up 3PT shots on 6.5 attempts per game and 60% off of catch-and-shoot 3PT shots at 1.5 attempts per game.

Hali is nice. He will cool off considerably. They play no defense at all and it’s disgusting to watch. I know all the kids probably love the 150-150 games but that’s trash basketball. He better not make all nba with that god awful defensive stance and slide he has. 12 assists a game and shooting 40% from 3 is less impressive than if he would give some damn effort on defense. Pacers might win 40 games but here is everyone talking like Halliburton is the next Luka. Come on guys lol

The East is loaded with young good point guards and they all seem to be able to shoot. Hali, Trae, Lamelo, Maxey, and Garland off the top of my head. Not even mentioning Don or Brunson who are just a bit older. I don’t feel like the East has had this depth at the guards spot in a long time.

Not against the Magic he’s not. That 3:4 assist:turnover number matches his 3 first half points a few nights ago. They stuck 2 mean, long guards on him and he stunk up the joint. That wasn’t a fluke; it was a formula.

Yeah, Hali has an amazing assist to turnover ratio like Chris Paul, but he’s also playing on a team that has fantastic spacing and literally runs a fast break on every play, so it’s not like he’s throwing contested assists from ISO nearly as often as Chris Paul.

To have THAT Pacers roster start the season as the best offense in regular season history is unbelievable.

He’s truly in Point God status at this point

Didn’t realize he’s just had a flawless career shooting wise.

Does he have a chance at beating some curry records?

I looked at the numbers and there’s a chance, but he’s gotta basically up his makes to 5 a game and have improved health and longevity over curry.

He doesn’t hit anywhere near the same volume as Curry. Curry averaged over 4.5 3PM over the last few years (besides that 2020 season), Ty has never gone over 3 until this year
