Mazzulla treats opposing teams’ runs as some personal affront or a result of lack of focus, and chooses to punish his team with a “I’m not bailing you out” attitude. But sometimes the other team gets hot. Sometimes players need to refocus. It’s stupid macho bullshit and just abdicates his responsibility as a coach.
