With the Browns, Broncos and Bears still having only tied their finishing record from last season and the Colts having one more win than last season, the Texans are currently the only team to have three more wins than last season, including their first win against the Steelers since 2011.
The Broncos started the season 1-5 including the historic loss to Miami and have turned things around beautifully, including a victory over the reigning champion Chiefs and a victory over the Vikings who had a 5-game winning streak at the time they played. The Broncos haven’t allowed an opponent to score more than 22 points since week 5, and in week 8 were the first team to hold the Chiefs to a single digit score since the Titans did it on October 24, 2021.
The teams that currently need just one more win to tie their win total from last season are the Dolphins, Raiders, Lions and Rams.
The Bears finished last season 3-14 and are currently 3-8

On the flip side, 6 teams have already matched or exceeded their 2022 loss total entering Sunday of week 12:
Washington Commanders 8-8-1 in 2022 4-8 in 2023
4 of these teams finished in first place in their division last season and only Kansas City is still currently in first place in their division this season.
Giants seem like the biggest disparity here, which is kind of surprising given that afaik their team didn’t change too traumatically in the offseason
I’m still completely shocked every time I look at the Browns record. I’m simultaneously wondering how the hell they’ve won this many games with their quarterback situation, and also wondering how they aren’t 9-1 considering two of those losses could’ve (and maybe should’ve) gone the other way—however, their second ravens game and the 49ers game perhaps are the counter balance for those
Colts game should’ve been an L for them as well
Should be 10-0 imho. They win that dolphins game 9 out of 10 times I think.
The browns dont play the dolphins this season
Miles Garrett led defense is how
It will never happen, but Myles Garrett is the NFL MVP at this point in the season.
I’m really excited for the future here in Indianapolis. Excited to see what a healthy AR can do with this coaching staff. This year has been pleasantly surprising, since I think most fans were just going to accept a completely down year given what happened last year. But Shane has coached these guys up, our offense is top-10 in scoring, JT is back, and overall the future is bright. We’ll pay MPJ, draft some good DBs, and head into next season hopefully as contenders again.
Yeah the Colts offense has been rowdy, regardless of who’s under center. But Richardson opens up the field more. If they keep their offense largely intact over the offseason while also focusing on the defense in the draft, I think they’ll really be cooking. They’ll hang around in the wildcard race this season, but I think divisional hopes next season is the real goal.
Ironically, the Eagles only need to go 5-2 the rest of the way (split these next 4 against the Bill’s, Niners, Cowboys, and Seahawks, then handle business against the Giants, Cards, and Giants) to surpass THEIR 13 wins form last year.
Dolphins only need 1 more win to surpass their win total.
How is that irony?
Yeep.
