If I understand right. An 20 year (was he 20 or less?) old was with a 16-17 year old? I dont think thats a huge deal. They might just be 3 years apart.

17 year old high schooler dating a 20 year old college aged guy is creepy and not the same as a 23 year old dating a 26 year old.

Here in the USA a 20 year-old should not be interacting with 16-17 year old especially for a new relationship. There would more wiggle-room if say they had met while he was in HS.

But then you have people who believe any relationship with uneven power dynamics in a man’s favor is problematic. But thats not this situation.

It’s lowkey incredibly common. I was 19 and was dating at 17 year old for a while since we started liking each other when I left for college. For like a month a while it was 19 and 16 lol

If it makes y’all feel any better she was taller than me and people kept thinking I was her little brother (one of the reasons the relationship never worked 💀)
