No depth, injuries and yet, Bayern are improving and cruising in the league. I think it’s a matter of time until Leverkusen come back to earth.

They’ll get hit harder by AFCON which I think will be the difference in the end

I mean we will play against them after jan transfer, we cannot play any better than we are playing rn we are literally winning every match convincingly and no way they can defeat us

Like even when we lose the League this year and get no title, we should keep it as it is. Heck we did the same in 2012 and look how that played out. Also did not have depth in 2012 and no defensive mid (gustavo maybe). Just get a rhytm, get depth in winter and summer 24 and build something

They do but they’re not “greatest Buli team of all time” solid like their current form.

They have less depths so they will probably drop points when they reach the later stages of Europa league. Also don’t forget Bayern often activates cheat code after winter break.

This is such a weird season lmao. It’s very rare that I watch one of our games and think that we performed well over 90 minutes, but basically every single statistic that I see here or on r/soccer, of either Bayern as a whole or of individual players, would suggest that we are basically getting an A+ in everything.

Then again, if we win the CL like this I won’t complain for a second

The one thing I feel is happening is that we seem to be fairly improved in not giving away goals when the opponent creates chances and that Sané and Kane are having a top 5 performance in europe. I think the first part is Tuchels playstyle and Sané and Kane benefit from it. I wonder how Tuchel makes them play shit enough to invite opponents to get countered .

“Psychopath”, “mental disorder”, “football terrorist” (any of those inane Taliban puns for here), etc. Some users on here need to do some honest soul searching whether that is the energy they want to put out in the world over a football coach deciding not to sub a player.

Do people realize we haven’t played well is most of the games and not faced serious opponent yet besides maybe Leverkusen and Leipzig ??

Remember we are already out of the DFB

I mean if we win the CL in the end I couldn’t give less of a shit about how we played but yeah, often it’s really not that nice to watch.

On the other hand, we had instances in the past where we played really well and appealing in the CL and still lost. I’d take a dirty 1:0 win over ties like PSG 2 years ago or some Real games 5 years ago.

but yeah, often it’s really not that nice to watch.

Even if one doesn’t care about the style, it also (still) looks a bit unsafe at times. If they got the points with boring looking football but looked in control over the game fewer people would worry.

I’m glad you enjoyed the carnage under Nagelsmann that wasn’t sustainable with the big gaping hole in the midfield and all that, but the team will still try to win. If you’re not entertained by it that’s ok, the football bubble is gonna burst one day anyways with all the entertainment around so one less fan won’t make a difference

I feel like we are more of a reactive team this season, which means we won’t dominate 90 minutes of every game but i think will help us in big games like in CL

That’s how Real Madrid won most of their CL titles. They rarely dominated games. It was basically bend dont break and relied heavily on individual brilliance.

Its not how we won our CLs in recent times though - just pointing out there are different tactical approaches to win the CL.

I appreciate pragmatic football. I dont see why Bayern has to play TikiTaka, 60% possession all the time for it to be „good“ football, when we have such deadly players on the counter. Be safe in defence and the rest will come from the talent we have up front

I was one of the skeptics calling for his head after last season. But he has slowly won me over, except for a few Tucheliban moments, him and the team is consistently improving.

Given the royal fuck up of a transfer window…barring Kane…he’s done wonders. I don’t want to hear a peep from nagelsmann apologists.

I would never have thought so before but after our last game…it actually adds up to me.

He literally did not let Kane play so that he doesn’t bail them out.

Kane was injured, so bringing him in was only an option if we went into extra time. Tuchel didn’t want to risk a serious injury, and playing against a team like Saarbrücken, we shouldn’t need Kane in order to win anyway.

Every player that was involved in that loss should easily be able to beat a 3. Liga team

Our depth is bad but not 3. Liga bad. We lost because we fucked up. Not only Tuchel’s fault, not only the team’s fault. But a shitty bench is no excuse.
