Riveting news
He doesn’t want to ruin his future by joining the Chicago Bears
He clearly doesn’t want to go to the teams picking in the top 5.
He doesn’t want to have to play for Harbaugh in Chicago.
Say it again, but look into my eyes and do it in a chicago accent
Isn’t it always bad teams drafting in the top? What does he expect, chiefs to somehow be able to trade up and get him? Pigs farting rainbows seems more likely.
Not always. Teams get decimated by injuries.
Then he can refuse to sign with one of those shitty franchises and force a trade. There’s precedent for that, he has the leverage, and it’s a better decision than playing another unpaid year in college and possibly suffering a major injury.
He’s a WR. He has no leverage at all. No one is risking the opprobrium that would come with that for anything less than a franchise altering QB.
Yeah, guys like Tyreek, A.J. Brown, and CeeDee aren’t worth two draft picks. 😆

“Yes”
Fixed it
lol ok
If he doesn’t come out I’ll slap myself with a live salmon.
Coho or King salmon, Or something else?
Amanda Bynes?
HOW CAN YOU SLAP?!?!
Putting you and Vrabel on my list of people that owe me
Collinsworth has about $800 worth of salmon he put on his NBC credit card you could probably use.
RemindMe! 5 Months
Nah, how about you don’t hurt an innocent creature for Reddit’s entertainment?
Are you gonna wuss out with a Chinook or risk getting the Sockeye beak?
I mean, I bet it upsets him he never beat Michigan or won the Big Ten, but at the same time, cmon he’s leaving. His stock won’t get higher
Yes but does he want to go to the place were receivers go to die?
Yeah as a Ohio State fan he’s said all year that all he wants to do is beat Michigan and win the Big Ten, with that being said he’d be a idiot not to return. Stroud said similar things last year but at the 11th hour declared, and rightfully so
I mean he will become a Arizona Cardinal, so understand the hesitation.
And the risk if he underperforms or gets hurt would be millions loss. NIL is paltry compared to a first round pick contract.
Whenever I see a college player who’s mocked top 10 consider returning to school I think of Matt Barkley staying another year and fucking up his shoulder
Jake Locker came back and fell down the board too
Purdy fell when he went pack
Sorta he was still drafted 8th
He missed like 30 million due to the rookie contract changes. Locker is a great example of why you go pro when you can.
He also had the quote “If I can’t be happy with $6 million then I’m doing something wrong” paraphrasing but money was never his motivation. He’s my all time favorite athlete. He was talked about this a few times and has said he wouldn’t trade giving UDub their first bowl win in a long long time for leaving early. He’s a country boy living in his hometown of Ferndale and has more than enough money to be happy. He’s the man.
Would be nice to hear that sort of thing more. Like when a player is insulted by a 200 million dollar contract because they want 220 million. Like at what point does it not make a difference anymore?
There’s something to be said for the massive changes in your life going from college to the “real world”
Maybe Marvin really likes his college life and wants one more year of it before 10+ years of similar nfl life. They will likely all be great years for him I bet.
It always felt like justifying his choice with some regrets, but what do I know. Locker is a badass though, I actually watched college football for a few years bcuz of him.
No he knew what he was doing. It was the year that they were going away from those massive rookie contracts. So he already knew he was throwing money away.
Man that name gives me ‘Nam flashbacks
Poor dude had glass bones and paper skin
Jake the “Hurt Locker”
The 3 TE formations made me feel paranoid and I can’t believe that shit continued into the Mariota years. And then ownership was so scarred, we changed OC every year during Mariota’s tenure. Someone needs to go to prison for that.
I think Bryce Petty.
Brian Brohm went from possible top pick to second round
Same. Dude went from likely 1st overall to basically an afterthought
Barkley was never going to be 1st or even 2nd overall in the same draft that Luck and RGIII were in.
I completely forgot that he was in the same draft as those two, I just remember him being very highly regarded
Ironically you can throw another USC QB in that mix with Leinart, guy was the sure fire #1 and stayed his Snr year the fell to 10, obviously not a drop like Barkley but still significant at the time.
Difference there is Leinart was trying to win a third straight national championship. I don’t think aiming for a third straight Peach Bowl appearance has the same pull.
Also, his QB is Kyle McCord.
Good example, I was just thinking about potential injury
You can get Maserati Insurance
Shawn Oakman, the freak Baylor DE from 2015-2016. Had like 16 sacks and went back to school after being universally mocked in the top ten. Ended up with four sacks his next year and legal trouble that took him off every draft board.
Didn’t a Michigan guard just do that today?
Zinter got hurt, but he wasn’t mocked top 10, and it’s tough to know if any teams will take a guard in the first round.
The cole strange erasure. SMH.
Cardale Jones was once mocked late 1st round
he never beat Michigan or won the Big Ten
and as long as Cryin’ Day is involved, never will. go get the bag, Marvin
And the risk if he underperforms or gets hurt would be millions loss. NIL is paltry compared to a first round pick contract.
Andrew luck was considered the top pick in 2011 and went back.
I’m sure Harrison will leave but outliers happen.
He’ll base it on the draft order. There are certain teams no one wants to play for.
Why worry about never beating Michigan when he can come to the Bears and never beat another team from Michigan, Minnesota or Wisconsin again! At least he’ll be making millions doing it.
Or just ever beat another team at all!
He will lol
Bros not wasting another year with Honda Accord
His NIL deal is worth more than most NFL players’ contracts
He was also born and grew up rich. Money’s nothing to him
McCord is his high school QB. He came to OSU to play with McCord. I doubt he cares about McCord throwing to him
So which team gets him? Early guesses.
Bears got 2 chances on getting him so my money is on them. If they were strategic they can get a new QB for him with their pick and get him with Panthers pick.
Crying Ryan unable to beat Michigan with all the talent he’s had over the years is some next level shit
With how bad offense has been this year, the NFL can’t afford him to wait another year
of all the teams that look bad, I don’t want any of them getting their hands on him. I can’t wait for Arthur Smith and the Falcons to have MHJR, Bijan and Pitts, 3 of the most hyped offensive prospects of the last 5 years, and still have Jonnu Smith as weapon number 1
Where the fuck is this take that Atlanta is getting mhj coming from? Aren’t they picking outside the top 5 at the moment?
It would be so funny tho
Until Tom Brady takes over for Ridder
Delusional Failcons fan
I want the Texans to trade a boatload to re unite him with Stroud.
I need the falcons to draft MHJ and trade for Justin fields.
Imagine what algeier could do with 20 touches in that offense!
Suits are going to show up and “convince” him to come out?
MHJ is going to be a Chicago Bear #1 overall via Panthers. He’s a better prospect than Chase who is showing he was well worth the #5 pick.
Go to the NFL and pull an Eli Manning
