What do you think about his stat? I think the games he focused on being a blue collar rim runner he did amazing. I don’t think this is only the Spurs fault or lack of point guard, he is enamoured of playing like a wing, which to me is the origin of most of his inefficiencies on offense.

he got pushed out of the paint

His center of gravity is way too high

And Sochan or other starters do not handle the entry pass well, to say the least

While i do think this is true, i think Victor, very similarly to Embiid in the past, likes playing in the perimeter more and taking those jumpers, which compounds the problem even more. Even in France, where he was the MVP of the whole league and averaged 22 and 10, he was constantly in the perimeter and a third of his shots were 3s, that’s just how he likes to play.

The physical limitations are there and the PG play is abysmal, but there needs to be a slight shift in his mentality aswell, he is going way too much into the weakest area of his game out of preference, something that really hurts his efficiency.

They’re trying to make him durant. Which is fine. But he’s just not there yet. He’ll get there eventually tho.

They also don’t find him in good positions for that as well.

        Just overall bad offense.

Last game they set him up like dirk and he hit turnaround jumpers over the defender like they weren’t even there.

We only ran that play twice. It was criminal. But we are trying to lose so there’s that

He losses his advantageous post positioning before the other Spurs players can get him the ball. When they do pass, they are usually not in ideal locations, so he has to reach out to get them and losses his position in the process.

He doesn’t need to back down ppl like Shaq to get looks at the basket, just an actual point guard. He’s still incredibly nimble and 7 inches taller than most big men that guard him

The answer is the last point. They do not pass him the ball.

He’s fast enough to outrun centers to the rim. He does it all the time and gets great position. The problem is that they don’t give him the ball for whatever reason. It’s annoying for everyone but the guys not passing him the ball.

Those guys are keldon Johnson, vassell, and sochan.

It’s very unclear why they hate him, but it feels personal at times.

Wemby doesn’t have bad hands like gobert. He’s had several crazy finishes where he just flips it up over his head without looking at the basket.

Idk why they can’t make it work.

His center of gravity is way too high

This was really glaring in the game a little while back against the Knicks.

Both Mitch and Hartenstein were able to move Wemby off his position with just a hand on his waist.
