What do you think about his stat? I think the games he focused on being a blue collar rim runner he did amazing. I don’t think this is only the Spurs fault or lack of point guard, he is enamoured of playing like a wing, which to me is the origin of most of his inefficiencies on offense.
If it was any other coach they’d be fired by now with the mismanagement of Wemby. Pop must have direct orders to just fuck around this year. Sochan isn’t a PG, they are rigid with their rotation and minutes, Wemby isn’t ever given the ball in good position, KJ is a backup PG, Wemby doesn’t play with Trey Jones. Idk wtf is going on with this team. They drafted Wemby and are worse than last year!
Pop won’t have orders for that. Pop is given completely free reign. He has basically run the team for nearly 30 years. Everyone in the organisation is loyal to him. The current CEO of the spurs for example was Pop’s head scout. Pop was both GM and head coach, but gave the gm position to him to focus more on coaching.
He has a lot of influence but he is not the owner. If this is Pop’s choice to run the team in this way then he’s lot more misguided than anyone could guess. Wemby is currently learning nothing about winning basketball.
