Excluding Canada which basically has the same development system as America, why is the rest of the world not producing any good guards? All the good international players are 6’8+. Luka, Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Siakam, Sabonis, Markannen, Porzingis, Sengun, Gobert etc. Meanwhile who is the best small international player? Dennis Schroder? Kind of an interesting discrepancy

If you look at sports worldwide, there’s a few much more popular than basketball like soccer, cricket, hockey, and tennis. And then there’s other sports like rugby that aren’t popular in America.

But if you are 6’8” basketball is an obvious choice

Cricket is dominated by the UK and commonwealth countries and South Asia so the large populations of India, Pakistan and Bangaldesh, tennis is just as accessible at a professional level to the average person, ice hockey requires a lot of equipment and an ice rink it’s not as popular across the world, while field hockey is more popular in South Asia. Basketball is definitely the second popular and widely played sport across the world.
