I feel strange even typing out the title to this. After 15 years of using a Mac to edit my photos, my tech husband has convinced me to switch over (after trying his PC to edit the last few sessions I’ve had). He is building it for me, but I am in charge of choosing a monitor and I am CLUELESS! He gave me too many options. 🙃 So I’m hoping there’s someone that’s able to personally vouch for quality of color for images. I have narrowed it down to a 27” I believe. Just need some help on what kind! Bonus points if someone has switched from Apple and understands how nervous I am 😂 Thank you!
As someone who did editing on fancy Macs and PCs costing >$10k at work, let me just give you a heads-up. Mac is far more stable. Any M2 should be decent for photo editing. I’ve had Adobe programs crash maybe once in a year when editing on a Mac. On the Windows, it crashes every 3 days if I’m lucky.

Look for colour accuracy.
Learn how to calibrate the monitor with software.
While PC has a lot more options, as you are experiencing, the trouble with PCs is that it becomes up to you to make sure that all of these systems can talk together without issue.
IPS panel with 100% sRGB, and as much as possible adobe RGB
I hope you enjoy the other side. A good YouTube search could help you with your monitor search.
