Please forgive me. I’m a NBA giganoob who started watching bc of Secret Base videos. I watch the Lakers bc Austin Reaves is my favorite player. I was extremely impressed with him in the playoffs last year and LeBron and AD are really fun to watch. Also a fan of DLo and Hachimura.

I don’t understand why Lakers fans are surprised with the result against the Sixers? They’re better than the Lakers rn. The better team should win most of the time. Getting stomped by Joel Embiid while half of your best rotation players are injured should come as no surprise.

What gives? Losing to the Embiid Sixers isn’t a problem until the playoffs. Who expected different?

lakers fans calling it “trials and tribulations” when they were bad for a few years in between GOATs is wild to me lol. I wish all-timers decided to sign with my poverty franchise in free agency lol

The Lakers were just in the WCF and the Embiid 76ers are a perennial 2nd round exit

In theory they should be the better team not blown out like this

you are asking why fans want their coach fired after losing big?

well do you know some warrior fans want Kerr, Clippers fans want Lue, heck even some Spurs fans about Pop want their coach get fired?

Lakers have one of largest fan bases and you will see more of those post.

p.s. I am probably hater too I really dislike his rotation and defense scheme but I don’t know any good coach available

Gotta call a timeout to stop that momentum for sure.

More alarming to me and more than just a Ham thing, the bench came on down 20 and they finished losing by 40.

I know they don’t have great depth but jeez that’s terrible.

For extra context, the end of the Lakers bench today was a bunch of G-League and two-way players. The Lakers are missing four of their main rotation players, including two probable starters. If you remove a third of any team’s rotation, they’re going to have horrible depth.

Because Darvin Ham does nothing well.

He’s a players coach, who so far this year doesn’t have his players ready to go in the first qt. Consistently the Lakers are behind by 10+ to end the first. His in game adjustments are either non existent, or far too late. He refuses to call offensive sets for Anthony Davis for long stretches or to get on the guards of this team to feed AD. He refuses to call TO when an opposing team is going on a run, instead opting to hold onto his TO late in the game to give Lebron and AD rest… only to end the game with 1-2 timeouts in his pocket anyway EVERY FUKN GAME, so his reasoning doesn’t even work! His rotations are bad, his leash for certain players are too long while others are weirdly too short (Rui is paid like a cornerstone role player… yet Darvin will go long stretches not playing him). Defensive scheme has the Lakers guards going over the top on EVERY screen, even tho DLO and Austin are just flat out not athletic enough to recover… so just run a screen and you will literally get a wide open jumper or a 2 on 1 going downhill

I could go on and on and on. The best thing Darvin Ham has done was to give Reddish confidence… but hell an assistant coach could do that. And that’s exactly what Darvin Ham is. An assistant coach

Thats not true. They are doing really good and were the 1st team to qualify in the in-season tourney.

Lakers fans thought Austin Reaves was a future hall of famer this offseason. They’re prone to overreactions on both sides of the equation.

What brings me the most humor in the situation, is seeing Laker fans say they wish they had Vogel. As if they weren’t calling for his head and using him as their scapegoat.

Facts. Source- am insane lakers fan.

Overreacting is our specialty, along with changing our opinion 180 degrees after a win/loss.

True. But lebron is also kinda a cry baby. They win and everything is great, minutes aren’t a problem, all the pieces work. Tonight happens and he can’t answer a single question. 17 games in and one historic loss and the world is falling apart? Gtfo. At this point, the lakers are gonna be a .500 team that is pandering to James until he decides to walk. Ham isn’t the problem because they ran Vogel out after winning the trophy.

The Lakers have a massive fanbase and haters love to come out during losses and pretend like they’ve been here all along. Most of the doomers lurk and stay completely silent until there’s a loss to talk about.

We’re missing a third of our regular rotation guys and our top 3 perimeter defenders. It was an ugly loss but that’s why there’s 82 games. Overreactionary fans will always exist but most of us (I hope) understand the world is not ending and the team will be fine lol
