Lavine is barely putting up all star caliber stats while being the “star” of a bad team. He’s due $40M+ for the next few years, & has a trade kicker. He’s a subpar defender, isn’t a strong play maker, & is average at best from 3. Why exactly would we trade all our our depth, including a great young contract, for this dude? This reeks of either LAL desperation, or just CHI using us as leverage. I hope it’s the latter.
because it’s a big name, that’s all that matters apparently. why go for solid role players that fit your needs when you can have another injury prone star? i just hope y’all get him so the Raps clown-show FO doesn’t get the chance.
Thought it was obvious, but guess I should have specified “This Year”, my b. He’s currently shooting 34% from 3. Quick google search shows this years league 3pt average is 36%. Hence “average at best”.

Career 38% 3pt shooter on big volume is not " average at best from 3"
Lavine is a really good player and an excellent scorer. Gutting your depth for him doesn’t make your team better. Both can be true

It’s safe to assume that percentage will come up and that this is just a small sample size.
That’s called variance my guy. It’s still early in the year
Lavine is an awesome 3 point shooter

I’m not defending this behavior but he’s not trying. Watch him play and you see he’s going 60% max. Playing like he just doesn’t wanna get injured
