First time since league expanded to 30 teams. Usually teams play 10 teams 4 times, 4 teams 3 times and the 15 teams in the other conference 2 times.
The NBA specifically designed the schedule with “Open dates” for 2 unscheduled games.
They also should have done this later in the year.
They could have made it so at the start of the year no teams are scheduled for more than 3 games. Then, based on the tournament results that 4th matchup either happens in the tournament or on the “Open Date” later in the season.
Somebody said this shit on Twitter and everyone is copying but it is literally not true lmao. For example Kings played with Pelicans 2 times already. Now they play the 3rd time(rescheduling one of the 2 remaining games) and then they have 1 more game left against them. It"s not that hard to understand wtf

I’ve googled how the scheduling works and I did not see a site that clearly explained it. The NBA site itself lacked some details. I’m sure I could have spent more time and eventually got it, but most people are only going to invest ~5 minutes in something before giving up. It’s not that important and we will hear it inevitably later.
