I wrapped some Eth a long time ago. I basically forgot about it. I just saw it now in my Metamask wallet

I can’t remember which L2 I wrapped it from. I need help on what to do to unwrap it. Any link or direct step by step guide on how to go about this will be appropriated

Thanks

Input your address into etherscan, on etherscan it has an option to view multi chain this will give you a good starting point depending on the chain you could just swap from weth back to eth

First step would be to know which chain those wETH are. Then go to any dex and select from token wETH to ETH and it will unwrap it for you.

    don’t answer dms!

it’s wrapped in whatever network/chain you have it, you can bridge it back to the eth main net or some exchanges accept them and you can just sell them there like normal eth, but this can be more complicated and have some problems if done incorrectly

if by wrapped on l2 you mean you are holding wETH, you can swap it on opensea easily enough.

If you mean you have eth on an l2, you best bet is to type your address into etherscan and look at the multichain lookup feature, and it’ll tell you the chain
