61 is so young and unexpected. What incredibly sad news.
At first glance of the headline, I saw the word “homicide” and thought the worst. Articles are saying “a brief illness” was the cause.
Holy crap. He was relatively young, too. Loved his character on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Andre Braugher was a very talented guy. Getting him on Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a huge win and without Homicide: LotS his comedic turn wouldn’t have been funny in and of itself. As much as I like the entire cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine I think he was the only actor whose character would have turned out wildly different if it had been played by someone else.
I’m currently deep into the 7th season of Scrubs right now and I was just thinking what series I should start next so it looks like Brooklyn Nine-Nine is gonna be it. R.I.P.
First Matthew Perry and now this news hits. If anyone from Scrubs goes down soon I’ll be devastated.
Sam Lloyd died a few years ago.
True. And may he forever airband in peace somewhere over the rainbow.
Matthew Perry was briefly in scrubs tbf.
“Apparently my husband Kevin has invited you all to my party. There’s very little street parking. No gifts. No singing of Happy Birthday. It should be fun.”

No! Damn it! The only thing I liked about his career more than B99 was going back to all of the other things I’d seen him in and recognizing him there. He was excellent on House - played a beautiful foil to Hugh Laurie all throughout Season 6.
Rest in peace, Captain. You will be sorely missed.
House was also my first exposure to him, brilliant acting. RIP
Fuck you 2023 :(
Said the same thing in the Movies thread, but 61 is waaaay too young. Would love to have seen him around longer.
Damn, 61 is young to die in this day and age. A shame to lose a good actor.
Oh man. This fucking sucks man.
This helps. :(
Oh no :( I absolutely adored him in B99.
Rest in peace Andre. You were (are) very loved!
Damn, he was a funny dude.
Nooo.
Article has no cause of death, anyone know?
An article I read said it was after a “brief illness.”
