Some months ago a podcast was published titled “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” where two conservative women discuss whether the influence of women is corrupting white collar working environments, mostly arguing that it is. An edited transcript was later published as a New York Times column.
This piece was shortly afterwards renamed to “Did Liberal Feminism Ruin the Workplace” to damage control as it proved excessively controversial.
Of course, right wingers did not appreciate their contribution and found them to be part of the problem they discuss.

I’m a lifelong progressive/liberal, so don’t assume anything about my personality from this politically incorrect comment.
There is a large number of women who actively dislike or disrespect men as a general rule.
There is a certain segment of feminism that isn’t about equal rights and equal consideration, but instead feel superior and expect to be treated as such. Men are means to ends.
These women are never wrong, and are allergic to personal responsibility. Guaranteed some man was the reason for all their woes.
Some will actually destroy a man’s career, family, and life if they feel slighted by that man. They also file false allegations to do so. Many men have been screwed over by angry or jealous women. We’ve seen it play out both in the news and in our personal lives.
Many women are wonderful people with good attitudes who take responsibility for themselves and are helpful and kind to others. But it’s very difficult to figure out which one is which until you commit significant effort in a relationship, whether business or personal.
For the men out there, are you willing to risk your career and livelihood by being alone in a room with a woman at work (especially if you are a manager}?
Are you going to risk a visit from HR because you complimented a female peer in the office and she got “the ick”, or perhaps because some other woman perceives favoritism?
I would argue that women ruined the economy by way of suddenly doubling the available workforce. That sort of thing has got to cause issues.
On the other hand, my education on the subject consists of one class that I’m pretty sure I failed.
Further, the alternative is for women to be unable to make their own way, and that is not acceptable.
We should just halve the length of the standard workweek. Everyone works 20 hours a week instead of only the men working 40 hours a week. That’s fair.
And everyone gets less than half the pay, so then they need four or five “breadwinners” to have a place to sleep. Each will have three jobs so they can pay for food, taxes, and transportation. It’s anybody’s guess which adults are the parents of any one child in the domicile.
Brilliant!
Same minimum weekly pay.
I get what you’re saying and agree but I’d maybe find a better way to phrase that lol
The response to this by business owners is really what ruined the economy. Women entering the workforce drastically increased the amount of available employees which allowed employers to pay less.
That’s not how the economy works
Like I said, I’m not exactly the most informed. I can just about handle supply and demand.
Assumptions like that is what makes bad economic theory. I have heard many people claim what you did but never have I seen any data.
Sure it is, it is supply and demand. Women entering the workforce increased the supply of workers while demand for labor didn’t do up at the same rate.
For scarce family assets like housing, two income families fueled an asset boom, making housing less affordable.

Thank you for your service!
Yeah but . . we still own their bodies, right? Legally?
Cool. Cool.
They both can’t explain wokeness. It was a long watch and there was maybe a moment or two I thought one of them would make a good point.
Neither spoke academically about oppression so I don’t even get the feeling that they understand feminism.
Wokeness has to be one on the sorriest excuses for male failure.
To think the tables have turned and women now control everything leading to the world falling apart. We need men back so that they can oppress us just the way our foremothers liked it. /S
they probably chose the least informed “non-conservative women” so they can poke fun a them. its the same shtick jesse watter chooses ignorant people to have sound bites.
