Glad to see indie/new director/creator getting big opportunities like this. Kane is really talented. I watched a bit of his videos where he talks about the techniques he used to make the YouTube videos. Really creative.
Giving me Slenderman vibes where they decided to make a horror movie way past when the thing was popular. This would have done really well 5-6 years ago.
The big difference here is that Kane Parsons, the guy who created and shot the original shorts, is directing. I’d like to believe that he’s got the juice to make it work (as opposed to bringing in some hack director for hire).
It’s still popular, games are still being made and updated regularly for example. It’s like saying you shouldn’t make an SCP film because peanut isn’t featured in memes constantly. Iron Lung movie is doing well too and that came out years after the initial splash

I was hoping the same. Some homage needs to be payed to the Hobbytown that occupies that spot now because that place rules.
