wouldnt making posts impossible to delete be more honest?

      You know, this is the sort of thing that users should really be made aware of…

      Also pretty sure I’ve seen deleted posts when they’ve been replied to ( don’t think the username is there though), which makes sense.

    If you really want to make ture stuff is as gono as possible: edit it first. I can imagine that there are instances that dont accept delete requests for their own reasons but still update requests

    Not sure if it really deletes it more completely, but first edit your post and replace it with a period and THEN delete.

        There’s always a chance someone screenshots the page before you delete or edit, but seems like doing both steps improves the chances of it being fully inaccessible later.

      What do you expect when everything you post is instantly copied (“federated”) to something between dozens and thousands of other servers? They might not all properly process any deletions. :/
