I usually wait until the first of April, but parts of it were almost shin high so I finally broke down and mowed it and took care of some other outdoor chores.
The good news is my hacked electric mower is still kicking. Official batteries for it are expensive and way under-sized, so I hacked in a 10Ah ebike battery a few years ago.
My goal was to do this today, but another job jumped to the front of the line. We had windy storms here the past couple days, so the cabinet style little shed that I keep my reel mower in blew over, and today when the wind settled down and I picked it back up, I found that the shed irreparably blew apart on impact. So I bought a bench style deck box and built that today. The doggo chilled in the back yard with me while I dealt with it. I don’t think this one is gonna go anywhere from a standard storm, and unlike the last one (which was here and already rickety when I bought the house) I know that it’s built properly lol.
