The National Guard.
Other states also have a Military Dept, but everyone just calls it the national guard.
Fucking Texas.
Calling it the “department of military” or “department of military affairs” is not uncommon. It’s the most common name states use to group the various guard and veteran affairs organizations.
When I say most people call it the national guard, I’m referring to the press and public.
I should think that the federalising of the Texas National Guard is on the table.
This would be amazing and appropriate.
