The European Commission proposed on Tuesday that travelers should be able to buy a single ticket online for any international train journey in Europe—even if it involves multiple national railway companies— through a single, easy-to-use booking platform.
I think that’s a slightly too optimistic phrasing.
The legislative proposal if passed remotely like that, would be a pretty big deal and not asking nicely at all. It would force railways to open their booking systems to others. The Eu commision apparently is finally loosing its patience after decades…
