To me this stopped at the PS3. It was the last time anything significant happened. Still love it all, but every generation since I get less and less excited. At this point there isnt even anything else a system can offer thats worth wild.
I agree. Things still felt pretty fresh and exciting into the early-to-mid 2010s but by 2016 we were firmly on the road to enshittification
