I literally just finished Circe by Madeline Miller less than 24 hours ago. The book includes a version of this story, among many others, from Circe’s perspective. I was also unfamiliar with the character despite being a big Greek & Roman mythology nerd as a kid.

So someone just came up with a Odysseus OC and put him in a oedipus type scenario with a little twist. The more the things change the more they stay the same I guess. I bet the fanfic community in ancient times loved it!
