We’ve got physical goods alternatives for nearly everything. Now we need strong digital alternatives so some executive order doesn’t turn off things like credit cards, Gmail and iCloud photos.

“We can give ourselves much more than the Americans can take away.”

Here we are, and the provinces integration is no where near where it needs to be. For booze we’ve allowed direct to consumer, which is nice, but a retail shelf will let me shop the world, but not my own country. Our premiers are failing us.

TBF our entire liquor control board was born out of the failure of US alcohol prohibition. Just like our overly restrictive Cannabis legalization was born out of the US War on Drugs.

We need to amend our constitution and make liquor/cannabis federally controlled.

Or our premieres need to stop failing us.

Overly restrictive? I dunno. Ma and pa shops on every block with a wide selection at prices and quality I could only dream of when I was buying from “my guy”, meanwhile the rest of the world treats it like the devil’s lettuce. Maybe your province did it poorly. Some did it not bad.
