This is why I make sure to take each pill one at a time instead of using a pill organizer, sadly spending the first five minutes of every day popping the bottles open one at a time.

There is a very real chance I’d OD if I didn’t use my pill organizer, haha. For whatever reason my brain absolutely can’t retain a timestamp on when I last took my meds.

Me too. ADHD for me, it could have happened months ago or 5 mins ago and I’ll be lucky if I even remember at all.

I’ve got a timer on my pills so that I can see the last time I took them for this exact reason.

Too many times of accidentally taking them twice or skipping them entirely so now I’ve got a timer.

I would lose track of something without my organizers. Fortunately I recently had to replace my old ones. The new ones, I can remove each day from them. It’s a pill organizer organizer, if you will.

Don’t worry, that pill bottle problem will be solved if Canada joins the EU. You’ll get wonderful blister packs instead.

Not enough talk about his thumb here, IMO.

I used to bite mine when I was a kid. In my early teens I decided it was enough, and so everytime I had the urge to bite, I just went and got some clippers and cut them instead. It fixed me forever. No urge to bite. My bite was related to the annoying feeling of having long nails. But I also told myself I’m not allowed to clip them past the white part into the pink. So that also helped regrow them perfectly.

Highly recommend to try this method. Very simple and won’t cost you anything but some clippers.

I bite off the white and then try to clip the rest so they look even. They get very short but at least i don’t bite into the living part of the nail and don’t damage it and I still get to satisfy my tick. Which is what life is all about.

          The thing is also that:

Biting your nails can lead to significant damage to your teeth, including chipping, cracking, and shifting out of alignment. Additionally, it increases the risk of gum disease due to the transfer of bacteria from your nails to your mouth.

It’s not worth it. Life is not about gum disease and damaged teeth.

It’s also still not good to rip your nails as what happens with biting. It causes damage to your nails even if you don’t bite all the way down “to the meat”.

And if you just search the internet for nail biting, there’s SOOO many complications that can occur with nail biting, and so many bacteria you can ingest that can get you very sick.

          Basically,

          it’s fucking nasty as fuck.

It can be difficult to just stop a stupid habit like that.

My solution was to go on a skiing holiday. Wearing gloves for a week and being away from my ordinary routine definitely helped.

😄 What an awesome solution, sounds like you had a great time and maybe also forgot about it a little bit, too, as another factor. Very good!

I get a single random vitamin/mineral in a gummy every four or five years. That’s about how long it takes me to forget that the gummies just do this.

Alternatively, a VERY happy everlasting gobstopper. (I don’t know what kind of pills those are.)
