Russia is systematically recruiting ordinary Europeans for low-level sabotage and surveillance through fake job offers on social media and job boards, targeting individuals across socioeconomic backgrounds with financial incentives. The “disposable agent” model exploits greed and reduces operational risk by using locals unlikely to be under existing surveillance. Recent recruitment attempts reached TVP World journalists via SMS and Telegram, mirroring documented patterns across Europe and Poland specifically.
Defense: public awareness and reporting of suspicious recruitment offers.
Not gonna lie – I find this disinformation campaign quite fascinating, even though I think it is your manner and malicious. In my home country, Bulgaria, I find that we are often victims of such political campaigns, and from my opinion and the people around me, I find that these strategies yield quite good results, especially in parliamentary elections, as the Russian nucleus seems to be dividing people and growing a subsection of them, making them more vocal or loud. They put banners in front of their apartments, they participate in rallies. They are very vocal on social media, and even have their own coded language. You can see their efforts on the comment section of popular news websites like dnevnik.bg.
