He is fine and will only get better. The hype was so big that nba obtained rights to show his french league games last year, which is something never seen before. Also he is a physical specimen and having a guy his size moving like that and dribbling the ball like a guard is something everybody were drooling over.
He will develop and figure out how to dominate games with his strengths. What I kind of dislike is that, when you have a player like that, it would be much better for him to pair him with an experienced PG who can mentor him in a way and help him get the ball in optimal positions. Having him trying to figure out how to play and at the same time having Sochan learning how to run a point (which is probably the last position he should play) will hinder his development process.
Chet is having a great season but he is in a completely different position, being that last piece in a team full of young, excellent players with a core that has been together for couple of years now.
Offense wise, he is up there with Shaq as the most dominant player to play the game. Above them is only Wilt but that’s due to the era he played in. His defense is average but that’s another story.
