Lol this is a horrible look for the league, Draymond has become increasingly more violent and its clear if anything he’s been feeling more and more emboldened. Punching Poole, stomping Sabonis chest, chokehold on Gobert. If there ends up being a Kermit Washington/Rudy Tomjanovich type of moment involving Draymond the NBA is gonna look so, so bad. If they’re lucky and the next violent incident isn’t major they gotta bring the hammer down with like a half a season suspension.

Make Draymond have to come to terms with losing half his salary and his teammates looking at him like he threw their whole season, these minor slaps on the wrist are not going to stop this behavior.

Not even joking when I say this might be the lowest moment I’ve ever witnessed for a fandom. I’m a Blazers fan but whenever things are going bad I’m gonna think of this old Clippers team trading a bunch of assets for Harden and going on a 5 game (or more) losing streak after getting him culminating with losing at home to a Grizzlies team that has been the worst team in the NBA.

Everyone saying he doesn’t need to cuz he’s so good at the rim, I’m gonna play devils advocate here, this is a guy that has basically spent his entire career injured pretty much exclusively taking the variety of shot with the highest physical toll and most physical contact. Guys that play at the rim alot and get hit alot tend to deal with alot more injuries and alot shorter careers as a result.

It’s very silly and shortsighted to say he shouldn’t shoot outside of the paint cuz he doesn’t ‘need’ to, magnitudes moreso when you’re talking about a guy with Zions playstyle and injury history. I’d argue he actually needs to more than most, cuz as cliche as it is we all know the best ability is availability. That historically good rim finishing has gotten the Pelicans nowhere cuz dude can’t stay on the floor.
